Air Conditioning

In the summer of 2019 I worked as a landscaper. It was brutal. My boss—he had been working outdoors for 20 years—taught me many valuable lessons, however, one of them stood out.

He said:

I hope working outdoors in the heat will make you appreciate the air conditioning when you get a nice job.”

I will never forget that.

Coming home sticky, sore, and often in pain gave me an understanding of how uncomfortable things can get. I even stepped on a nail that summer.

It’s always the little things that are easy to dismiss. Appreciate your air conditioning.
